About College Bound

The College Bound Program at St. John Fisher University is designed to support the growing population of highly motivated, low-income, first-generation high school students, by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and ongoing support they need to successfully complete the college application and selection process.

The week-long residential College Bound Program 2024 will be held July 14-18 at Fisher.

To be considered for the College Bound Program:

Students must be second semester high school juniors.
Students must be considered first generation (their parents did not graduate from a two- or four-year college).
Students must be considered low-income, qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch.
Students should have a B average or higher in an academic program, of which fifty percent is college preparatory courses; and must have completed Regents-level coursework or be pursuing a Regents diploma.
Students must be committed to living on campus for the week of the program.
Students must be nominated for the College Bound Program and submit a completed application before the deadline.
